Freshman Class Placement

Algebra 1 Lab

Students are placed in Algebra 1 Lab based on multiple data points. These data points include but are not limited to semester and quarterly grades, district benchmark data, and most recent SBAC scores. The purpose of the Algebra 1 Lab is to support students in attaining fundamental skills that will help them be successful in Algebra 1 and beyond.

English Language Development 

Students are placed in designated English Language Development classes based on their latest overall ELPAC scores. The purpose of ELD classes is to support students in language acquisition and in their core English classes.

Individualized Education Plan /Section 504 Plan

Students with Individualized Education Plans and Section 504 plans are placed in classes based on what is written in their individualized plans and decided upon by the IEP or Section 504 team.
