Dance Information
GUEST PASS INFORMATION:
Guest Requirements: (Students attending high schools other than Dos Palos High
School):
1. Guest Pass Application with required signatures approved by DPHS Administration
2. Copy of student I.D. (school or drivers license); I.D. is required to be shown at
dance.
3. Compliance with all school policies regarding behavior, dress code, etc.
Procedure for Guest Pass Application Request:
Step 1: DPHS student needs to obtain a Guest Pass Application (online or Main Office)
Step 2: Approval and signature from the guest’s school of attendance
Administration.
Step 3: Approval and signature from the DPHS student and parent/guardian.
Step 4: Submit application to the Main Office by the deadline.
Step 5: DPHS Administration will contact DPHS student’s parent for verification.
Step 6: Student notification of guest approval/denial from DPHS Administration.
Dance guests:
1. Individuals not over the age of 20 and students who are currently enrolled at other
high schools (approved by Administration), are allowed to attend Dos Palos High
School dances.
2. If the guest is not currently enrolled in high school, approval from the DPHS stu-
dent’s parent will be considered as a determining factor.
3. Students below the 9th grade will not be admitted.
4. Guest Pass Applications must be submitted 3 days in advance. Exception: Prom
Guest Pass Applications must be submitted 10 days in advance.
5. Final approval will be at the discretion of DPHS Administration.
FORMAL DRESS REQUIREMENTS FOR WINTER FORMAL AND PROM
(This applies to all DPHS students and their guests).
LADIES:
Formal/Evening dresses are required and may be strapless or off-the-shoulder IF they meet the other criteria
listed below.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED:
Dresses that are too revealing in the front/back, extremely short, or have a slit too high.
“Back falls” may not be lower than the bent elbow.
Dresses that are “see through” .
Two-piece dresses with a gap of two inches or more.
Costumes of any sort.
GENTLEMEN:
Winter Formal - Dress shirt, dress sweater, dress slacks, dress shoes or dress boots (tie, sport coat or tux are
optional, not required).
Prom – Collared shirt, sport coat and slacks or tuxedo, dress shoes/boots.
All clothing must be in good repair, clean, and pressed.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED:
No denim-type jeans of any color are allowed.
No costumes of any sort.
No caps or bandanas
FOOTWEAR:
Appropriate formal footwear, dress shoes, or dress boots are required.
